Windy City Game Day is Chicago's weekly guide to cheap seats, game-day bars, and where to watch. The email is “this week in Chicago sports.” The site keeps the current rankings and the game-day guide.
Each issue ranks a handful of upcoming games by whether the cheap seats are a good idea, then points at bars and parking when a night out is the plan. Home teams on the list: the Bears, Cubs, White Sox, Bulls, Blackhawks, Fire, Sky, and Red Stars. Ticket guides for the Bears, Cubs, White Sox, Bulls, Blackhawks, Fire, and Sky are linked from the home page.
What “value” means here
A low number on a resale screen can still be a bad night. The note looks at the matchup, the day, the building, and how those seats feel once you sit down. When a cheap seat is a bad idea, the issue says so.
The typical-cheapest line is filled in only after someone has checked. Ticket links go out to a box office or a seller named in that week’s note. This site does not sell seats.
