Soldier Field guide
Read the policy for the event you are attending. The stadium bag page, the Bears game-day pages, and the Fire matchday page do not say the same thing about backpacks or outside food.
The next Bears home game in this file is Oct. 22. The next Fire home match in the file is Oct. 28. Both are at Soldier Field.
Bag policy
Soldier Field’s bag page says the NFL clear-bag policy is in place for all events. Approved bags are clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC no larger than 12 by 6 by 12 inches, including clear backpacks, clear fanny packs, and clear cinch bags; a one-gallon clear freezer bag; and a small non-clear bag no larger than 4.5 by 6.5 inches carried with a clear bag. Diapers must be in a clear bag. Medical bags are searched.
The Bears bag page matches that size rule and says medical screening is at gates 8, 38, and 47. It says non-clear diaper bags are prohibited.
The Fire matchday policy also uses 12 by 6 by 12 inches, a one-gallon freezer bag, and a clutch no larger than 4.5 by 6.5 inches, and then says no backpacks are allowed. It says unapproved bags can go in lockers on the south end near 18th Street and Lake Shore Drive for $10, cash or credit.

Outside food and drink
The Bears A–Z guide says food for personal consumption may enter if the container follows the NFL bag policy. The same guide says alcohol may not be carried in, and its prohibited list includes cans, bottles, and other beverage containers.
The Fire A–Z guide says outside food and beverages are not allowed into Soldier Field. The Fire tailgate rules repeat that line.
Cheapest seating
Soldier Field publishes a seating chart. None of the official pages used for this guide names a cheapest section, so none is listed here.
Getting there by CTA
Soldier Field’s directions page lists 1410 S. Museum Campus Drive, Chicago, IL 60605. The bag-policy page footer lists 1410 Special Olympics Drive.
CTA says the Red, Orange, and Green Lines stop at Roosevelt, a few blocks east, about a 15-minute walk or a short ride on the #146. CTA and Soldier Field both list the #128 Soldier Field Express on Bears game days, from Union Station and Ogilvie. The Fire guide does not list the #128 as a Fire-only bus.
Metra Electric stops at Museum Campus/11th Street and at 18th Street.

Parking
Use the Soldier Field parking notes. Bears-game rates were not verified there. Do not treat a Fire figure on that page as a Bears rate.
Nearby bars
South Loop rooms near the stadium are on the South Loop page. Bars tied to a Bears watch by a 2026 source are on the Bears watch-party page.
